How to Make Your Own Halloween Costume for Girls
- 1). Discuss Halloween costume ideas with your daughter. Ask her if she has any special costumes in mind that she would like to create. Look through inspirational sources such as books and magazines for possible costume ideas. Consider not only people, but inanimate objects and food as well, such as a box of french fries or a remote control for the television.
- 2). Search through your home to find materials to make the costume. Consider transforming an old bridesmaid's dress into a gown for a fairy princess, or turning a large appliance box into a giant vending machine costume.
- 3). Look through past Halloween costumes and try to alter them into something new. Transform your daughter's bride costume from last year into a corpse bride costume by dirtying it up and shredding the fabric. Take an old princess costume and
