How Can I Get a Disc to Eject From a Toshiba Laptop?
- 1). Shut down the Toshiba laptop and unplug the AC power adapter. Disconnect any other devices from the laptop. Close the LCD screen.
- 2). Turn over the laptop so that it is facing upside down. Unlock the battery pack and remove it from the bottom of the laptop. Turn the Toshiba laptop right side up again.
- 3). Use your fingers to unfold a heavy-duty metal paper clip. Unfold the paper clip until it is as straight as you can make it.
- 4). Locate the pin-sized hole on the face of the optical drive. In most cases, it's the hole close or next to the eject button. Insert the straightened metal paper clip into the hole and push firmly. Push in the paper clip until the lock inside the drive releases and the tray comes out slightly.
- 5). Use your hands to pull the drive tray out all the way and remove the disk. Close the disk tray.
- 6). Reinsert the battery back. Reconnect the Toshiba laptop's AC adapter, and power on the computer.
