There is hardly any soul on this earth who doesn't want to fly in the air. Every one of us does want to fly at least once in a lifetime, but the high charges levied by the airlines demoralize the common man to a large extent. Just try to reduce the price of an air ticket in an auction and then you will see the actual desire comes out. People will die to get that ticket; this is the craze of flying in the sky that resides within us somewhere, but remains buried till we get a great chance to fulfill it. But if the rate of influx is less then the companies have to increase the rates to neutralize the expenses that the airline puts in. This in fact is a reverse process, a company that has no customers increases the fares to avoid loss and while doing so it may loose the customers because of increased costs, strange but this is what happens in the market.
Customers too are becoming vigilant day by day. They try to get the lowest ticket rates by applying certain basic and intelligent methods. The customers know that if they have large number of options in their bag then they can surely get lower airfares. Thus they plan their trip well before the departure date to get an idea of the market. They check for alternative airports, day and night fight fares and most vigilantly for festival offers and fare sales. Some of them remain glued to the internet to find the best fare so that they can board the flight at the lowest prize. This all sounds like a game. This shows the extent and the desire of people to fly but at the same time by having a check at their wallets.
