Religion and Psychic Readers
It is not my purpose to condemn religions or sway anyone's opinion or change religious beliefs but rather to share my thoughts about psychics and religions.
As a psychic reader it has been my experience that most religions do not view readers positively and have often encountered controversy regarding psychic philosophy and work.
A spiritual and ethical reader presents information that may indeed enhance one's spirituality or renew one's faith but they need not be in competition with any religious philosophy.
I will address the misconceptions, superstitions and lies that religions have about psychic readers who have been called false prophets, evildoers, cons or Satan worshipers.
Readers have their own individual spiritual philosophies and practices.
I've met Catholic and Protestants readers, ones who practice Buddhism, Wicca, and those who have no affiliations with a religion but live spiritually each and every day.
Religions warn against consulting readers saying that a dependency will occur or that readers control lives through magic or whatever.
This may be true in some very few cases, but is definitely not true of the majority of readers.
Another misunderstanding, psychic tools are the works of the devil.
Religious clergy fear people will rely too much of these tools, perhaps because of their own lack of education about them.
Some religions fear that readers will sway people away from their religion to the dark side.
Do they fear that a reader will teach a person to stretch out beyond dependency of another to connect him or her to a god rather than allow a natural connection with no clergy involved? According to the Bible Jesus Christ possessed super normal powers, healed, prophesied, channeled an unseen deity, appeared after death and was considered a god.
Christianity expects these things only from a god or holy person and certainly not a psychic reader.
Religion talks about life after death and often pray to the spirits of those who have died to aid the living during challenging times.
Some readers, called mediums, communicate with spirits.
Prophets spoke of future events; clairvoyants see future visions.
Many religious people speak of communicating with God through prayer.
Parapsychologists refer to communication that is nonphysical and nevertheless apparent as telepathy.
Psychic phenomena are spiritual experiences if one is religious but questioned if a psychic reader.
A reading can give one an opportunity advance her spiritual growth or perhaps realize it deeper spiritual connection.
