How to Make Typewriter Keys Bracelets
- 1). Dip the cotton swabs in rubbing alcohol. Rub the keys thoroughly to clean them. Typewriters are often dusty, dirty or covered in oils from use so you'll want the keys to be as clean as you can make them.
- 2). Set the typewriter keys in the order you plan to use them for the bracelet. Depending on their size, 10 to 12 keys are enough to fit on the bracelet loop. The loop is a flexible plastic material in a basic bracelet shape. Place the keys around the loop to determine the number you'll need.
- 3). Put a dab of epoxy or metal glue on the back of the keys and glue them in the preferred order on the bracelet loop. Add one key at a time and glue between the keys to hold them to the loop and the other keys for added strength.
- 4). Allow the glue to dry. Drying times will differ depending on the type of glue you use. Follow the manufacturer's directions on the glue container for estimated drying times.
