How to Treat Chafing at Home
- 1). The best way to prevent chafing is to keep your skin dry even when you're sweating and not wear clothes that will bring more friction. Therefore, try to wear 100% cotton clothes. To stay dry, use talcum powder, Gold Bond medicated powder, or corn starch.
- 2). Wash the affected area with warm water and soap. Then, cover that area with band aid or sterile gauze. You can also put antibacterial ointment like Neosporin on as well. Diaper rash cream also works well.
- 3). If you're experiencing chafing, try to eat foods or supplements that contains Vitamin A, Vitamin C, and Zinc. This will speed up the healing process.
