1. Calgary Tower - The 191 m freestanding observation tower, originally called Huskey tower, was built to celebrate Canada's Centennial in 1967 and to promote downtown area growth. It was renamed as Calgary tower in 1971. This is the best place for a visitor to Calgary to start a tour of Calgary, as it will give an overall lay of the land. The sky 360 restaurant gives a 360 degree scenic view as it revolves as you dine. Calgary tower is easy to access even in winter, as it is connected to the +15 skyway.

2. Spruce Meadows- Located in the Rocky mountain foothills, Spruce Meadows is a premier equestrian and show jumping facility that hosts six major outdoor tournaments and eight indoor tournaments annually. The indoor tournaments called Nakoda Series and the Outdoor tournaments which includes CSI 'National' tournament, CSI 'Continental', the 'Skyliner',the CSI 'Canada One', and the CSI 'North attracts famous athletes and their horses from around the world. Other activities that can be done at Spruce Meadows include Skating in Winter, and fishing. There is also a play ground for kids.

3. Fort Calgary - Established by North West Mounted Police as Fort Brisebois, Fort Calgary offers visitors a lesson in history through fun, interactive exhibits, and tours. You will be able to learn how the North West Mounted Police bought law and order to the west and stamped out the whiskey trade, befriended the First Nations peoples and opened the land for settlement.

4. Heritage Park - Canada's largest living Museum by the number of exhibits, Heritage Park lets visitors discover "How the West was Once". Many of the exhibits including period houses that are on display are actually transported to the park and furnished with authentic artifacts.
Visit the village that was recreated to appear like early 20th centuray Alberta, see the classic and vintage cars at Gasoline Alley Museum and travel on horse drawn carts.

5. Calgary Zoo - Located in Bridgeland, Calgary Zoo is the second largest Zoo and one of the most visited zoos in Canada. Operated by the Calgary Zoological Society, an independent no-for-profit organization, Calgary Zoo is home to almost 800 animals.
