How to Record Internet Radio on an iPod
- 1). Visit http://www.ambrosiasw.com, which is the home page of Ambrosia Software, the makers of WireTap Studio. Select "More Utlities."
- 2). Select "WireTap Studio."
- 3). Select "Download Free Trial."
- 4). Follow the instructions to install the software. Remember to choose the trial version, which is free to use for 30 days.
- 1). Open WireTap Studio.
- 2). Select "Trial." (Choosing "Continue" will allow you to buy the program.)
- 3). Select "Preferences" in the "WireTap Studio" menu.
- 4). Select the "Save" tab, then select "Show Save As Dialog."
- 5). Select the "Source" tab, then pull down the "Source Menu" to select "Safari" as your web browser. Select "None" in the "Source Two" menu.
- 6). Select the "Format" tab, then choose the type of audio file you would like to create in the "Presets" menu. Select "Live Preview."
- 7). Click the little red button in the upper-left corner of the "Preferences" window to close it.
- 1). Visit the website featuring the streaming audio you would like to record in the Safari web browser.
- 2). Open WireTap Studio.
- 3). Choose "Controller" in the "Window" menu to reveal the control panel.
- 4). Select "Record" in the Controller window.
- 5). Begin the streaming audio in the Safari web browser.
- 6). Select "Stop" in the Controller window when you are done. Name the audio file.
- 7). Select "Library" in the "Window" menu of WireTap Studio, then select your newly-recorded audio file by clicking on it. Select the iTunes button to move the file to iTunes, which will allow you to play the file in iTunes and transfer it to your iPod portable digital media player.
