How Do I Install an AM/FM Radio in a 2002 Saturn L100?
- 1). Lift the Saturn's hood and loosen the negative battery cable's clamp using the 10mm wrench. Remove the cable from the battery and set it aside. Move to the inside of the vehicle.
- 2). Grasp the top edge of the trim panel that surrounds the stereo and climate controls and pull it away from the dashboard. Remove the panel from the dashboard and set it aside.
- 3). Remove the 9/32-inch screws from the side of the stereo using the socket and ratchet. Slide the factory stereo from the vehicle's dashboard and disconnect the stereo wiring and antenna cable from the rear panel of the unit. Set the stereo deck aside.
- 4). Slide the faceplate adapter into the stereo mounting dock. Pull the stereo wiring and antenna cable from the back of the dock to the front of the Saturn's dashboard. Plug the stereo wiring connectors into the wiring harness adapter leads. Plug the wiring harness adapter lead connectors into the appropriate outlets on the rear panel of the new stereo deck. Insert the antenna cable lead into the FM antenna input on the back of the new stereo.
- 5). Slide the new head unit into the faceplate adapter until it snaps into place within the Saturn's dashboard stereo dock. Replace the trim panels surrounding the stereo and climate controls and press firmly around the perimeter of the panel to snap it back onto the Saturn's dashboard. Return to the battery.
- 6). Place the negative battery cable clamp back onto the negative battery terminal and tighten the bolt on the clamp using the wrench. Close the Saturn's hood.
