How to Groom Designer Dogs

32
    • 1). Brush your dog's coat gently with the soft pin brush to remove any dead skin in the fur, and then use the bristle brush and comb on your dog's coat, starting at the head and moving gradually towards its tail and legs. Use the comb and scissors to get rid of any mangles caught in its fur.

    • 2). Examine your dog's ears for infections and wax and use the ear forceps to cut any unwanted hair. Designer breeding has resulted in excessive hair growing from the dog's ear. This extra hair can trap wax and can cause ear infections, so it needs to be kept short.

    • 3). Remove any tangles or debris caught in the toes and anal area. Use the nail clippers to trim the nails, avoiding the area with the pink center.

Check inside the mouth for odor, inflammation and debris, and brush well with the toothbrush.

    • 4). Place cotton wool in your dog's ears, and bathe it in warm water. Lather thoroughly with dog shampoo, rinse again, and then pat the dog dry with the chamois cloth. When dry you can remove the cotton wool, and give a final groom with the soft pin brush, and use the grooming spray to keep the coat in good condition.
