How to Find the Side Number on SIRIUS Radio in a Car
- 1). Tune the SIRIUS satellite radio to channel 0. Many aftermarket and factory/dealer installed radios will allow you to tune SIRIUS to channel 0. Channel 0 will display the ESN number of the radio on the display. While some SIRIUS radios will allow you to tune directly to channel 0, others will require you to turn of the stereo while the vehicle is in ACC mode. Then press the CD eject and Time button together for 3 seconds to display the ESN. This will vary by manufacturer.
- 2). Follow the instructions found in the vehicle's owner's manual for factory/dealer installed SIRIUS satellite radios. This is often labeled similar to "Satellite Radio ESN Retrieval."
- 3). Follow the instructions provided in the owner's manual for aftermarket in-dash SIRIUS satellite radios. The section name is generally similar to "ESN Retrieval." You may also be able to find the ESN on the original packaging from the SIRIUS satellite radio. It will look similar to a barcode with a number below it that starts with "SID."
