How to Create a Level on Revit
- 1). Open Revit in your Program Files or by clicking a shortcut icon located on your desktop.
- 2). Open the project to which you want to add a level by clicking on it at the startup screen.
- 3). Select any elevation or section view from the "Project Browser" window that is always open on the left side of your screen by double-clicking it.
- 4). Notice that there is a "Level 1" and "Level 2" already created for you.
- 5). Click "Level" under the "Datum" tab on the Home screen. Notice that as you move your mouse up or down, the exact height of the new level to be defined is shown next to your mouse pointer.
- 6). Click once the level is at the exact height that you desire. You will now have a new level that you can edit at any time by clicking any elevation or section view. Click the name of the level while in an elevation or section view to edit the name of the levels for easier referencing.
