Seychelles Golf Club is located on the island of Mahe and is a 9-hole course that offers plenty of challenges along its scenic fairways. Featuring a total yardage of 4,922, this par 68 course was created on the site that was once a mangrove swamp.

Known for its pristine, sun drenched beaches, azure ocean waters and magical sunsets, the Seychelles offers an enchanting island getaway, perfect for a fun filled family holiday or an intimate retreat with that special someone. You would think that this paradise on earth which is rich in culture and stunning natural beauty could not be improved upon, but you would be wrong! For amidst the glorious coastal landscapes and serenity you will also find the Seychelles Golf Club where you can enjoy a relaxing round of golf.

Open throughout the year, this picturesque course can be found on Mahe Island's south-eastern coast, at Anse aux Pins. Offering visitors a chance to tee off when on holiday, this 9-hole course (par 68), does provide plenty of challenges along its stunning fairways. Created on the site that was once a mangrove swamp, the 50 acre Seychelles Golf Club features a total yardage of 4,922 and has some quite fascinating water hazards; some of these areas are home to red crabs who are known for carrying away golf balls which stray into their domain! Nature lovers will also note the presence of migratory birds which add to the natural splendour of the area.

Once you have completed the 9 holes, you can play over the back 9 which offer a different set of challenges. With fairways lined with coconut palms and other natural trees, the course is an idyllic retreat for both amateurs and experts alike. Not to be missed is a chance to play the 308 yard seventeenth hole (par 4) with its scenic views, water hazard and tricky bunkers.

Handicaps are managed through the Northern Systems golf handicapping method, while Saturdays and Thursday afternoons are usually set aside for competitions that are sponsored. Once you are done with your golfing round, you can enjoy a relaxed meal or drink at the club's cafeteria or bar. Those wanting to work on their driving and putting techniques can also request for lessons at the club.

Travellers looking for secluded Seychelles resorts that are also within easy reach of Mahe where they can play a round of golf, can stay at Raffles Praslin Seychelles. This luxurious Seychelles hotel is only around 40 kms from Mahe and provides a haven of peace and tranquillity where you can also enjoy rejuvenating sap treatments.
