So with the simple search term on "Phone Cards", the company Phone Card Smile appears first out of an astonishing 59 million search results.
So I immediately thought to myself that this has to be a good company.
But after years of experience and dealing with phone cards I've learned a lot of things.
The most important lesson is to make sure that all the fees are fully disclosed.
And so begins my test to see if Phone Card Smile is worthy of my hard earned cash.
At first glance Phone Card Smile has a professionally designed web site.
Which to me is always a good sign.
Then I noticed that they have some pretty good customer perks such as offering reward points to loyal customers.
Another good sign since I always use phone cards to call family, friends and business contacts throughout the world.
Next I found that they also carry the largest list of cards that I have ever seen personally.
And I have used a lot of different phone card providers so I know.
So right from the start everything looks good and their website interface is user friendly.
But obviously a pretty website with a lot of phone cards is not going to cut it.
The most important factor is are the cards worthy of my hard earned cash.
First thing I did was to do a search for a phone card to call the United Kingdom, a country I call often.
I entered the search and to my amazement over 90 phone cards popped up.
That's the most phone card choices I have ever seen and believe me I've used a lot of phone card companies before.
I automatically zoomed in on the lowest priced card, which is what everyone else normally does.
I clicked on the card's details and found out the card had no connection fees which is good.
But when I read the terms and conditions of the phone card's details I saw a whole range of crazy fees.
And the way the explanations were set up could make it quite difficult for a new phone card buyer to comprehend.
This immediately set off the alarm bells in my head.
I checked the other cards for calling the United Kingdom and found other terms and conditions that are just as vague.
Personally I recommend buying phone cards with no fees such as carrier surcharges and other taxes.
Phone Card Smile have a few no fee phone cards but the rates are high.
But making a consumer search for them is outright wrong.
Especially when you make a consumer search through over 90 choices for just 1 card.

Phone Card Smile offers a wide assortment of cards and if you're experienced in searching through phone cards and aware of the fees then this is the right choice for you.
However, I know most phone card shoppers are new and may not be aware of fees so this company may not be the right choice for them.
They should state their fees much clearer and up front instead of hidden in a bunch of legal mumbo jumbo.
