A Personal Look at the Parable of the Wheat and Tares

For those of us who are not very much cereal, it is usually difficult to discern the wheat the wheat, tare, sorghum, millet and other grains.
This is because the size, color and complexion might confuse you.
The parable of the wheat and tare is aptly so named because it addresses the issue- only that it talks about the end of times and how it shall be differentiate the believers from non believers.
Indulge with me.
Jesus told this parable in the perspective in the spiritual realm.
The end of time is come and every one is claiming that they are Christians.
There shall be false prophets who shall possess demonic powers to heal and perform other miracles; people will call themselves Christians and do unimaginable things in the name of God.
Wars will break out and churches will come against each other, all claiming to worship the true God.
To the discerning eye, it shall however not escape them to tell who the true worshipers of God.
They shall be clothed in heaven glory and Christ shall know them even by name.
When a farmer goes to the field to harvest his wheat, he finds wheat -like plant.
If he is not careful, he may end up doing so much work separating the two.
The tare is not a type of wheat but closely resembles wheat; a discerning eye will be able to see the difference.
Jesus told this parable when he was teaching his disciple about end times and how it shall be.
There shall be so many pretenders who will act like Christians but all there lives they were unrepentant.
When they shall face Christ on judgment day, they shall plead their case.
The Bible tells us that none shall escape the discerning of our lord Jesus Christ.
His is a true farmer.
He knows what he planted and when harvest time comes, Jesus shall lay the wheat and tares side by side; the wheat represents the Godly people who are not only the hearers of the word but the doers of word too; the tare represents the hearers of the word who reject its application.
They only speak it by mouth but lack the willingness to do what the word calls them to do.
They are taken by the voice of the devil which leads them astray.
We are called to the kingdom of God.
The question you need to ask yourself today is: are you the wheat or the tare? The decision is yours.
