How to Troubleshoot the App Error 523 on a BlackBerry Curve 8530
- 1). Perform a phone reset by removing the battery from the Curve and putting back in again. Remove the cover on the back of the phone, pull the battery out, wait a moment, reinstall the battery and replace the cover. Turn the phone back on.
- 2). Upgrade the BlackBerry Device Software if the error continues to display. Use a USB cable to connect your Blackberry to the computer you use to sync.
- 3). In the Blackberry Desktop Manager, double-click on "Application." Click "Start" at the "Update Software" area and follow the prompts to update your phone with the latest software. When the process is complete, the wizard dialog box will display the message: "The loading operation was successful."
- 4). Unplug the phone from your computer and try it again. The error should be gone.
