There are many different ways to create decorative wedding vases. These decorative pieces are often used as table centerpieces to enhance the overall look and feel of a wedding. In this guide, you will be given directions on how to create these vases so that they are the "talk of the table" for the wedding that you are preparing them for.
You will need vases that match, ribbon that is a color slightly darker than the color used for the wedding, food coloring, clear stones, and cut flowers or artificial flower pieces. Once you have gathered all the materials that you need, you are ready to create your own decorative wedding vases.
The first thing that you will want to do is decide on how to arrange the colors. Typically, a wedding consists of two different colors. I suggest taking the main color and working with it. You will want to take the vase, and place the clear stones that you have purchased nearly all the way to the top.
I would suggest leaving about an inch and a half to two inches free of stones at the top of the vase. Once you have done this, you should find a bowl and add food coloring of the color that you are working with and water. You should mix the two together until you get it to the consistency that you need to compliment the colors of the wedding.
Once you have got the food coloring and water to mix to a color that is appropriate to your liking, you should pour the water in each vase just above the stones that you have placed in the vases. Now, what I like to do is take some essential oil that is the same scent as the type of plants and/or flowers that are used in the wedding and place approximately two small drops to the colored water mix in the vase.
This will ensure that there is a fresh scent in the air that enhances the overall appeal of the wedding. Once you have done this, you can now add the flower and/or flowers that you wish to put in the vase. Then, simply tie a piece of ribbon around and create a pretty bow! This is all there is to creating your own, unique decorative wedding vases to be used as tabletop centerpieces at the wedding that you are preparing for!
