• "Diablo II" is a role-playing game created by the software company Blizzard for Windows and Macintosh home computers and released in 2000. As in real life, money is essential in "Diablo II" to purchase items from the town merchants including scrolls, equipment and potions -- all necessary for making progress in the game. Normally, players can get money by finding gold or by getting it from defeated enemies. However, the game also has a few ways for the player to get more money through cheats.
  
  

Improved Enemy Loot Drops

• You can increase the amount of gold and the value of the loot dropped by fallen enemies. Press the "Enter" key while playing to do this. A white line will appear over the interface bar, and you will be able to type on this line . Enter "/players x" and press the "Enter" key. Replace the "x" value with any number from 1 to 8. The higher the number, the higher the value of gold and loot dropped by the enemies. For example, entering "/players5" will bring you loot of a higher value than entering "/players3." There is a downside to this code, as it will also raise the health of enemies, making it more difficult to kill them.
  
  

Unlimited Secret Cow Level Access

• The Secret Cow level is a hidden area where you can find many easily killed enemies. The level takes its name from the ax-wielding cows found in this level. You can access the level by putting Wirt's Leg and a Tome of Town Portal into the Horadric Cube in the Rogue Encampment area.
  
  Normally, players can only access the Secret Cow level once per difficulty level. However, you can prevent the Secret Cow level from locking. Just keep battling through the level until the phrase "Cow King" appears at the top of the screen. Once those words appear, return to the beginning of the level and go back through the portal you entered on arrival. From then on, you'll be able to re-enter the Secret Cow level, as if it were your first time entering it. Now you can defeat cow enemies repeatedly to earn more money.
  
  

Hex Editing

• It is possible to edit saved "Diablo II" games to give your characters more money through the use of a program like Hex Workshop. You should only do so if you know how to hex edit. If done improperly, you risk ruining the saved game. The amount of saved money a player has is stored at hex location 0x265 to 0x268. The money a player is carrying stored at hex location 0x269 to 0x272. If you change the number at these locations in the save game data, you will give the character more money.
