How to Make a Cutlist for a Subwoofer Box
- 1). Check with a specialized software, consult the subwoofer packaging, or call the manufacturer to make sure your measures are the appropriate ones. Cutlist Plus will help you determine whether the dimensions are the right ones.
- 2). Use a pencil to draw a schematic of your design. You will need to represent the top, two sides, back, bottom and the front of the subwoofer box.
- 3). Make the length of the top, back, bottom and front at least 1.5 inches less than the overall width of your subwoofer box. This is very important since they will need to be affixed using a butt joint to the sides that are ¾ inches in size. For example, if the dimension of your overall box measures a total of 30 inches, you will need to cut the parts 28.5 inches long.
- 4). Write the measurements down, and go purchase your wood.
