How to Print a Document on Microsoft Word 2007

26
    • 1). Open Microsoft Word 2007 by clicking the “Start” button on the bottom left of your screen. Once you click it a column will pop up; click on the section that says “All programs,” then click on “Microsoft Office,” then finally click on “Microsoft Office Word 2007.” This opens the Microsoft Word program.

    • 2). Type out your document as you normally would. Save it in case the file messes up and you are unable to print. This ensures that you are able to get the file printed without wasting time having to retype it should an error occur and you are unable to print or the file accidentally closes.

    • 3). Check to make sure that you have paper inserted into the printer and in the drawer that you want the printer to print from. Once you have inserted paper into the printer and have it all set up then you are ready to print.

    • 4). Look at the top of the screen. Normally Microsoft Word would have the word “File” which you could click on and then navigate to the print option. Unfortunately this version of Word is much different than previous versions you may have worked on. At the top left of the screen you will find the Microsoft logo, a floppy disk icon and two arrows. Find the Microsoft logo which is in a circle that is larger than the rest of the icons at the top of the screen.

    • 5). Click on this Microsoft logo. This pulls up numerous other options such as saving, sending or publishing. Towards the middle of the column, find the option to print. Put your mouse over this option and you will be given three other options. The first option is “Print,” once you click this you can select a printer, number of copies, as well as other options. The second option is a “Quick print,” which automatically prints from the default printer that is set up to your computer. The third option is “Print preview,” which allows you to see what you will be printing. This lets you see if you want to move text to different pages or if you are happy with what you see. If you are happy with what you see, then click "Print."
