How to Colour Your Hair Perfectly at Home Without Having to Redecorate the Whole Bathroom Afterwards

13
The thing about hair dye is that it not only changes the colour of your hair it can also change the whole colour of your bathroom if you are not careful. Even the most temporary of temporary colours will stain your bath mat and your tiles and even add a unique pattern to your shower curtain, so it pays to be careful during the application process. Even henna for hair, though a natural and non chemical substance can cause permanent staining to items it comes into contact with. It makes sense then that before you start mixing up your hair colour that you remove everything from the immediate area that you could possible damage, including the family towels. Make sure though that you do have an old towel to hand, one that it really makes no difference whether it gets stained or not.

Take Your Time

The best way to ensure that the hair dye only ends up on your hair and not across every surface in the bathroom, is to take your time during the application process. Many people rush through wanting to get it over and done with as fast as they can and this is where accidents happen. They rush to get the solution mixed as fast as they possibly can, in the mistaken belief that if they donâEUR(TM)t shake it vigorously and use it immediately that the mixture will somehow explode. Then comb the colour though the hair forgetting that the comb will pick up the colour solution and if they remove the comb from the hair too quickly the colour on the comb will flick off and spatter the bathroom wall.

Gentle Rinsing

A lot of the mess in the bathroom happens when it comes to rinsing the colour solution off the hair. Rather than letting the water flow over the head as they kneel over the side of the bath or basin, they jump into the shower and of course the water runs off the head and onto the body and gets splashed in every direction and onto all of the available surfaces. If you have taken the time to apply the product carefully why spoil it all by rushing through the rinsing and conditioning process? ItâEUR(TM)s easy to forget when you have your hair under the shower that it is still covered in colouring product, so it is easy to scrub your fingers through your hair forgetting all about the protective gloves that are designed to stop you colouring your hands the same shade as your hair. All it takes is a little thought to keep things mess free.
