How 73,828 Collections Were Deleted Last Year From Credit Reports

15
If you listen to the common purveyor of the "credit system" in America today, they'll tell you if you have a collections on your credit report, you'd better be prepared to wait 7-10 years for it to come off.
And it's *impossible* to get it off anytime sooner.
Really? 7-10 years? Imagine what will happen in 7-10 years.
If you have a family, imagine all the possibilities, all the opportunities that will come you way, and be missed for the next 7-10 years, because your credit score is being drug down by a collections listing.
Bummer.
But last year, 73,828 collections were deleted from the credit reports of people who hired Lexington Law to dispute their negative items.
That's a heckuva lot of "impossibles".
But, what a lot of people don't know is the Fair Credit Reporting Act give you, the consumer, the ability to dispute items with the credit bureaus that you feel can't be verified.
Or are outright inaccurate.
What Congress understood, way back in 1970 when they passed the FCRA, was the bureaus didn't actually investigate anything that was being reported to them from the creditors.
They just took the creditors' word for it.
But the consumer needed a way to fight back against all the inaccuracies that were inevitably showing up on their reports.
So, now you have the ability to dispute items with the bureaus.
Lexington Law has a tried and true method that gets the bureaus to actually open up investigations with the creditors.
Because unless they start an investigation, you don't have any hope.
