Making Popcorn

• 1). Set the locking tabs on the bottom of your Presto PowerPop popping bowl in the slots on the PowerBase and turn the bowl right or left to secure it to the base.
  
  
• 2). Insert a concentrator into the bottom of the bowl making certain to press it into place.
  
  
• 3). Pour up to 1/3-cup corn kernels on the concentrator. If you want oil or butter flavored popcorn, pour one to two tbsp. of cooking oil onto the concentrator before adding kernels. Add salt or seasonings before the kernels if popping with oil or after if not using oil.
  
  
• 4). Place the cover on the bowl, open the microwave door, place the bowl inside in the center and close the door. Set the timer for five minutes on high heat and start the microwave.
  
  
• 5). Stand near the microwave and listen to the sound of the kernels popping. When you hear a three second pause between pops, turn off the microwave.
  
  
• 6). Open the door and grasp the bowl and cover carry handle with towels, oven mitts or potholders. Carry the popper to a countertop, remove the cover and set it aside. Eat your popcorn directly out of the popping bowl or pour the popcorn into a serving bowl.
  
  

Cleanup

• 1). Wait 15 to 20 minutes for the concentrator to cool and then remove it from the popping bowl.
  
  
• 2). Wipe it clean with a damp cloth or rinse it under running water. If you rinse it, wipe it dry with a towel. Set it aside.
  
  
• 3). Turn the popping bowl to detach it from the base. Wipe the base with a damp cloth and set it aside.
  
  
• 4). Wash the bowl and cover in the top rack of a dishwasher on a normal cycle with other dishes; or wash the pieces by hand with a warm, soapy cloth, rinse under running water and then wipe or air-dry. After the parts have dried, place the concentrator in the bowl, attach the lid, lock the bowl to the base and store the popper as desired.
