Dot BZ Or Dot BIZ Or Both For Your Business Domain Name?

42
Why in the world wouldn't you buy both? Imagine that you've just told somebody you met at a business luncheon that your business web address is "mydomain.
BZ.
Why worry that they'll think you said "mydomain.
BIZ?" Or vice versa! Don't imagine that they'll try the other if the first one doesn't work--because most people aren't aware there are two of them! And come on, domains are cheap and the best registrars will forward and mask them for free.
(You can get the two of them for less than twenty-five bucks a year!) The more paths to your web business door the better! .
BZ and .
BIZ obviously sound exactly the same.
Remember that one of the best ways to tell if you've got a good domain name is to say it to someone on the phone and see if they understand what you said on the first try.
If you've got to repeat it--even once--then you're apt to have an identity problem further down the road; and I defy you to make .
BZ sound different than .
BIZ! Either of these extensions makes for a great business domain name.
What says business better than .
BIZ? Why .
BZ, of course! Ok, Ok, .
COM is still the Übermensch of domain extensions; but as you've certainly noticed by now, viable business domain names with a.
COM extension are getting harder and harder to find and becoming progressively more expensive.
While .
BZ wasn't intentionally created to mean "business" (it's the country-code top level domain extension of the Central American nation of Belize) any more than Turkmenistan's ".
TM" was developed to represent "Trade Marks" or Macedonia's ".
MD" to mean Physicians, it still makes for a delightful happenstance that smart web businesses should take advantage of! .
BIZ, on the other hand, was expressly created to take some of the heat off .
COM and give businesses a chance to get their preferred domain name with an extension that was immediately recognizable as signifying a business entity.
.
Biz and .
BZ mean the same and sound the same.
If you have one, think seriously about getting the other before you lose confused customers over the price of a fast-food meal.
