How to Store Fresh Berries
- 1). Place berries in a shallow, breathable container and store on the counter for fresh-tasting berries with good texture. This method is best if you plan on eating the berries within a day or two.
- 2). Store berries in a covered container in the refrigerator to add a few more days to the lifespan of the berries. However, this may cause the berries to slightly lose the fresh taste of just-picked berries.
- 3). Wash berries and pat them dry right before use.
- 1). Arrange berries in a single layer on a baking sheet.
- 2). Place the berries in the freezer for at least a few hours, then remove once the berries are frozen.
- 3). Place frozen berries in plastic sealed freezer bags or containers.
