How to Disable a Laptop Mouse
Instructions
1Check your laptop touchpad for a disable button located nearby. The touchpad disable button often looks like a tiny space bar set adjacent to the touchpad.
2
Disable the touchpad using the software functions in your operating system. Locate the "Control Panel" or "Setup" menu in your operating system. Launch the mouse or touchpad control functions and disable the laptop mouse from your "Setup" menu.
3
Uninstall the mouse from your operating system's hardware manager. From the hardware management program, select the laptop mouse you wish to disable and select the uninstall option. Use this step as a last resort if you cannot use the software or touchpad button to disable the mouse.
