Common Misconceptions About Dieting

42
You are what you eat.
It's important know that.
Your body is made up of billions of cells that are too small to see with the naked eye.
The complexity of this goes deeper.
Cells are made of of atoms.
Atoms are the tiniest form of energy in the human body.
The combined efforts of the atoms that make up the cells, and the cells that make up tissue, and the tissue that makes up organs, and the organs that make up the body come from the source of nourishment you are feeding your cells.
Food is broken down into very small molecules and the nutrients in that food get fed to your cells.
What you eat becomes what you are.
You feed your cells what they use for energy.
It's up to you to decide what kind of energy you want in your body.
So a proper diet is important.
Being on a "diet" makes most people sound like they are depriving themselves of something they want.
This is a common misconception.
Dieting means choosing what foods you want your body to break down to use for energy to obtain the result you are looking for.
To be successful you must set your goal, and keep your eyes on the prize.
Here are a few dieting tips.
1.
Eat Organic- You don't have to deprive yourself.
You just need to eat more organic foods.
Processed foods do not get broken down in the body very well.
Thus most of these foods go to waste.
Fruits and vegetables are an important part of your diet.
They contain healthy sugars and water that your body needs.
Whole wheat or multi grain breads, Vitamin D milk, and water are things you want to include in your diet.
Fish is also a very healthy option.
As long as it's not fried or breaded.
2.
Drink More Water- Your body is made up of 80% water.
You need clean water, not just colas, teas, coffee, milk, etc.
You should drink at least a gallon of water per day.
Water flushes toxins out of your system, and keeps you hydrated.
Your brain functionality goes up when you are properly hydrated.
So replace all drinks with water for the first two weeks of your diet.
Stay away from alcohol as well.
3.
Eat Smaller More Frequent Meals- You don't need to deprive yourself.
You actually get to eat more.
It's not how much you eat, it's what you eat.
Eat 5-6, 300 calorie meals per day.
Eat every 3 hours starting in the morning to jump start your metabolism.
Try to limit your calorie intake to 1500-1800 calories per day.
You don't need to do this long, just a couple of weeks to kick start your metabolism.
You need to teach yourself a new way of eating.
It is a lifestyle change.
