Do you need a miracle to heal from depression? Powerful prayers that work for overcoming depression are those that you pray with faith, believing that God can perform miracles and inviting God or his messengers (angels) to do so as you fight the disease. "Dear God, my loving Father in heaven, please help me heal from depression.


I feel surrounded by darkness that's closing in on me like a fog so thick that I can't see my way out. I'm trapped inside this fog of sadness and I even though I want to get out, I don't have the energy to  move. I need a miracle from you to break through this dark depression with your light of hope and healing.

God, please start by letting me sense your complete and unconditional love for me. I've been so ashamed that I'm depressed around people who expect me to snap out of it -- as if I could fix my depression just by willing myself to cheer up. If any evil is trying to influence my thoughts by deceiving me from seeing how valuable I am as a person, ask Archangel Michael to protect me from that and help me see the truth.

Please send a great support system of people into my life -- those who care about me, those I can trust, those who are willing to encourage me as I heal and give me whatever practical help I need. Bless everyone who helps me on this healing journey, and thank you for sending them into my life.
