How to Arrange a Centerpiece on a Mosaic Plate
- 1). Place the mosaic plate on a table or counter work surface near a water-filled sink or cutting container.
- 2). Cut a piece of Oasis with the knife to a size sufficient to accommodate the
stems of the flowers and filler greenery and the bases of the tapers. - 3). Secure the Oasis to the plate with sticky floral clay by placing the clay in the center of the plate and firmly pushing the Oasis down on top of the clay. In lieu of clay, use floral tape placed across the top of the oasis and wrapped over the edges of the mosaic plate.
- 4). Pour water over the Oasis to soak it. Remove any excess water from the plate with the sponge.
- 5). Cut the stems of the flowers and filler greenery to the desired length, on an angle, while holding the stem underwater in the sink or cutting container. This keeps the stems porous and extends the life of the arrangement.
- 6). Push the cut stems of the flowers into the spongy Oasis at the desired locations to create an attractive display and fill any empty spaces with filler greenery. Use extra greenery to conceal any exposed Oasis or floral tape.
- 7). Push the bases of the taper candles into the Oasis at the desired locations.
