How to Bend Cedar Shingles
- 1). Fill a bucket with enough tap water to hold and cover the number of cedar shingles you want to bend.
- 2). Place the cedar shingles into the bucket and force them down so they are completely submerged. Allow the shingles to soak 24 to 30 hours.
- 3). Remove the shingles from the water and lay them out flat on a clear space. Allow the shingles to air-dry completely. As the shingles dry, they will naturally bend. You can bend the shingles further by inserting them into a hand clamp as they dry.
