Windows XP to Vista Compatibility

• In its original release, Microsoft Office 2003 was compatible with all Windows operating systems from XP to Vista. The Infopath component also required Internet Explorer 6 or higher. The product has had three service packs since its release and it is still compatible with Vista, however, Microsoft provides minimal support for the product.
  
  

Windows 7 Compatibility

• Microsoft Office 2003 Basic is compatible with Windows 7, as are the individual program components and all service packs. The Student and Teacher version is not compatible with Windows 7. Current Student and Teacher users need to purchase an upgrade.
  
  

Mac OS Compatibility

• The software is not compatible with the Mac OS. Microsoft released Office 2004 for Mac, which is compatible with Mac OS X version 10.2.8 or later.
