- 2). Walk around the department and look at the makeup artists that are working the different counters. Notice the type and style of makeup that they are wearing. If you like the type of style that they wear, you will more then likely like the basic makeup that they pick out for you.
- 3). Ask the makeup artist to show you some basic makeup application and what are the right colors to use for you. This is something that the makeup lines train their counter salespeople to do and they will do this free of charge.
