How to Crochet Ribs
- 1). Form a slipknot with the yarn and place the crochet hook into the loop. Chain stitch to the height of the ribbing desired. Do this by placing yarn over the hook and pulling through the loop of yarn on the hook. Repeat for desired height.
- 2). Place a single crochet stitch into the first chain stitch from the hook. Do this by inserting the hook into the chain stitch, yarning over, pulling the hook through the chain stitch, yarning over and pulling through both loops on the hook. Single crochet across the remaining chain stitches. Chain one stitch and turn the work.
- 3). Single crochet in the back loop of the two loops on the top of each single crochet across the row. Chain one and turn the work. Crochet one single crochet in the back loop of each single crochet across the row. Chain one and turn the work. Continue crocheting in this manner until you reach the desired size.
