Unlearning What You"ve Learned About Christianity
If you're still learning about heaven and hell, fire and brimstone and other pain and pleasure related Christian experiences, I would like to suggest something to you.
Now would be a good time to start unlearning what you've learned about Christianity.
Here's what I'm suggesting.
Could some of the information that you have acquired over the years be wrong? Think about this for a moment, the world was created by God in seven days.
Have you ever doubted or thought that this information could be wrong? Have you ever doubted anything that was written in the Bible or something that a religious leader said could actually be wrong? Doubt often forces us to look for the truth, but today most people don't have the time, to look for the truth.
If they don't have the time to look for the truth, often they end up believing what they are told.
The more that they choose to believe the information that they are bombarded with on a daily basis, the harder it will become for them to unlearn what they've learned, if it was wrong.
A famous German during World War II said that, "If you tell someone a lie long enough, they will start to believe it as the truth.
" There are some people that can't be fooled, but for the most part, religions and governments all over the world, continue to hide the truth or aren't interested in providing any satisfactory evidence to those who are asking good questions.
A good example of Christians who believe without questioning, are those who truly believe that the Bible is the written word of God.
These people often live a life believing in something that doesn't have enough evidence, to support the claims that are made within it.
These people are often the hardest ones to convince, that their holy book, might not have been written by God.
These people often don't want to listen to people like me.
I'm not telling them that the Bible isn't the written word of God, I'm asking them to examine the facts about the Bible, that are easily accessible through books at their local libraries.
Some of these people will never be convinced that there are problems with Christianity.
If you truly desire to belong to an organization that doesn't have enough information to support most of the claims, made within it, then continue on and I wish you the best.
If you're not satisfied with Christianity and have doubts about this religion, it's time to start seeking the truth and removing the old garbage from your mind.
If you truly believe in Christianity, what is it going to hurt to start doing a little research about it? Think about it.
