Why you DON'T want to rely on Facebook Email

22
May be you have had the experience of emailing someone on Facebook and not getting a reply? Or some time you have had someone tell you they emailed you on Facebook and you never got it. Well guess what? I read a article today in Mashable.com, Facebook is now charging you to transfer emails to people who are outside of your "social circles" or "Social network".

Even I've seen that little question pop up asking me if I want to pay $1 or my email will go to "the other in-box". I've been pretty much avoiding it because it came up sometimes and not all the times. I hadn't given attention about why would cause it to appear or not. But now, I get it! I began to surprise today, how many valuable emails I have missed? I surprised who has contacted me to inquire about my business and I never got their email because they we're not in the same "social circles or network." I am sort of addicted about following up with people when I email them to make sure they received it if I don't get back response from them. But in the end I realize that not everyone is like that I am thinking.

Get Your People onto Your List For Professional Link Building

This brings up another issue for me or may be for all which is that I really encourage my customers to get their people from Social Media plateforms to their list as soon as possible. Social Media and social networking strategies are changing every day so you really don't have control over what they will be doing with your connections. It's a nice way to make connections and create relationships, and even to keep in touch forever, but you without a doubt want to get them onto your list as soon as possible, because then you have control over how you would like to communicate with them.

Mostly there's always going to be a latest social media site where you can "hang your virtual shingle" but when your channel are on your list, you have a regular way of communicating with them to connect, educate and continue to build your own group. Blogging is a awesome way to bring people from you Social Media to your site to make your list. You can post your blogs on your social media with a link back to your website where your "opt-in page" is and offer an enticing free gift to invite people to sign up on your list.
