How to Make a Dangle Costume Bracelet
- 1). Cut a length of chain that will fit loosely around your wrist without falling off. Choose a light-weight chain with links that are not soldered together. This will be the bracelet.
- 2). Open the remaining links in the rest of the chain, by holding one side of the link with a pair of pliers so the crack in the link is up. Grasp the other side of the link with a second pair of pliers. Hold one pair of pliers still and turn the other pair 90-degrees to make a 1/8-inch opening in the link. Release one pair of pliers and lift the link free of the chain.
- 3). Insert the open link into one link of the bracelet then drop a thin washer onto the link also. You can continue to hold the link in the pliers as you do this. Grasp the other side of the link with the second set of pliers and twist the pliers again to close the link and attach the washer to the bracelet.
- 4). Add more washers to the bracelet in the same way.
- 5). Close the bracelet when you wear it by running a small piece of wire between the last two links and twisting the ends of the wire together.
