How to Purchase a Rental Car
- 1). Visit EnterpriseCarSales.com to find used rental cars. Enter ZIP code, make and model of the desired car on the front page and then "Search."
- 2). View listings by price, mileage, color or location. click the picture of the car to get more information.
- 3). Scan the features of each car to make sure that it fits your needs. View all other pictures available to gauge the condition of the vehicle.
- 4). Do a Carfax vehicle report on each listing that you are interested in to double check its history. Most will only show one owner---the car rental agency.
- 5). Click the "Trade-ins Welcomed" link to get more information about trading in your car for the used rental car. You also can just go to kbb.com (Kelley Blue Book) to find the value of your car so that you will know how much you can reasonably expect to receive as credit on the trade-in.
- 6). Click "Printable View" underneath the car listing to print out all of the details of the rental before you enter the form to contact someone.
- 7). Go back to the last page and enter your contact information, including name, email and phone number. Include any specific questions or comments you have about the listing that you are inquiring about. Click submit and wait to hear back from a representative.
- 8). Go to the rental car location where the car is parked to inspect the vehicle and make your final decision. These details will be given to you when the Enterprise representative contacts you. Come with cash, your own financing lined up or be prepared to get a credit check and go through the car rental company's financing provider, if available. The representative will most likely inquire about how you plan to finance the vehicle when she initially calls you.
