Turn On Places

• 1). Click the “Down Arrow” in the menu bar on any Facebook page. Click "Privacy Settings."
  
  
• 2). Click "Edit Settings" under “How Tags Work.”
  
  
• 3). Click "Friends Can Check You into Places."
  
  
• 4). Click the "Disabled" button and select "Enabled" instead. Click "Okay."
  
  

Add Location

• 1). Browse to your Facebook home page or profile. Type a message in the "Update Status" box.
  
  
• 2). Click the second icon from the left below the text box. The question "Where are you?" will appear.
  
  
• 3). Type the name of the place. If you see multiple results, check the street address and click the appropriate location. The message "– at [name of place]" will be appended to your post.
  
  
• 4). Click "Post."
