    Frank O'Bannon Grant

    • The Frank O'Bannon Grant is available to eligible undergraduate students pursuing first bachelor's degrees and enrolled in college on a full-time basis. The Frank O'Bannon Grant has two components--the Higher Education Award for students attending public institutions and the Freedom of Choice Grant for students attending private institutions. The Frank O'Bannon Grant is designed to provide financial assistance to students but will not cover a student's entire tuition cost. You must have Indiana residency by December 31 of the year prior to the application deadline. Eligibility for the grant is based on students' financial need. The grant is renewable up to eight semesters if students continue to meet eligibility requirements.

    Indiana National Guard Supplemental Grant

    • The Indiana National Guard Supplemental Grant is available to eligible members of the Indiana National Guard. The grant covers up to 100 percent of certain tuition costs, but it does not cover books and living expenses. The specific award amount of the grant is based on enrollment status. Students are required to have active drilling status and cannot have been AWOL at anytime during the preceding 12 months before enrollment. If eligible, the grant is available for up to eight semesters.

    Part-Time Grant Program

    • The Part-Time Grant is available to eligible students enrolled in at least two credit hours but no more than 12. Students are required to have Indiana legal residency and attend an Indiana public post-secondary institution. The grant is awarded on a term-by-term basis. Students must meet income requirements, and eligibility is determined by school.

    Children of Veterans Grant

    • Grant assistance is available to eligible students who are children of disabled Indiana veterans through the Indiana Children of Veterans and Public Safety Officers Grant Program. Spouses and children of Indiana National Guard members or Indiana public safety officers killed in the line of duty may also qualify for grant funds to pay tuition and fees at eligible Indiana institutions. Veterans residing in the state of Indiana who have received the Purple Heart and were honorably discharged may receive the grant. Eligible students receive grants covering 100 percent of tuition and fees. The grant does not cover the cost of room and board. Veterans pursuing graduate degrees will receive grant funds equaling the undergraduate tuition costs.
