Graco Drop-Side Cribs Recall
© 2010, CPSC.gov.
More than 200,000 Graco brand drop-side cribs are affected by a recent recall because the drop side hardware can break or fail, which could allow the drop side to detach. When a drop side detaches, a dangerous gap can form, and babies and toddlers can be entrapped or wedged in the space, possibly leading to suffocation or strangulation. Nearly 100 incidents of the drop side hardware breaking or failing have been reported.
Graco brand drop-side cribs manufactured by LaJobi are included in this recall. The cribs were sold in cherry, espresso, natural and white finishes. The model numbers listed below are included in the recall. You can find the model number and other crib information on the inside of the headboard or footboard, and on the bottom of the crib rail. Additional images can be found on CPSC's Graco Brand Drop-Side Cribs Recall page.

If you baby's crib is affected, you should stop using it immediately and find an alternative, safe sleep spot for your baby until the crib can be repaired. You can contact LaJobi at 888-842-2215 or LaJobi.com to receive a repair kit that will immobilize the drop side.
Do not try to repair the crib on your own.
