How to Control Insects With Vinegar in a Bottle
- 1). Thoroughly clean an empty spray bottle.
- 2). Fill the bottle three-quarters full with warm water.
- 3). Pour vinegar into the bottle, filling it to the top. You now have a solution of 3 parts water to 1 part vinegar.
- 4). Replace the lid on the bottle and shake the water and vinegar to mix together.
- 5). Spray the solution around crevices that bugs are using to enter your house. Allow it to dry. The scent of the vinegar will repel the insects.
- 6). Spray unwanted bugs directly with the vinegar solution. While it does not kill all types of bugs, it will help drive them away.
- 7). Spray ants and ant hills. Spray the mounds daily until the ants are gone.
- 8). Spray around plants that have pest problems, but do not spray the plant directly.
- 9). Spray down countertops if you notice ants or other bugs on them. Wipe counters with a clean cloth.
