Carnival Wedding Centerpiece Ideas
- Carnivals are full of color, excitement and sugary treats. Buy large round disc lollipops to create a colorful, carnival-themed centerpiece. Put lollipops into large clear vases. Fill the vases with colorful or clear river rocks or marbles and insert the sticks. Each centerpiece should include enough lollipops for each place setting at the table. Tie a bright colored ribbon around the vase to give a finished look. Another way to display the lollipops is to lay them down on a bright colored tray and tie a name tag for each guest with ribbon.
- Balloons are prevalent at carnivals and can used as an inexpensive wedding centerpiece. Use at least five helium-inflated balloons in wedding colors at each table. Hold the balloon bouquets together by tying the strings to a balloon weight or to a carnival themed item such as roll of carnival ride tickets. You can also hold the balloons down by setting the strings down under a weighted down bowl of popcorn or painted rock.
- Cotton candy is a carnival staple and should have a prominent place in a carnival themed wedding. Make a cotton candy bouquet by putting cotton candy in paper cones and then sticking the ends of the cones into a plastic foam block. Wedding guests can each take a cotton candy treat from the centerpiece at the end of the reception to enjoy.
- Incorporate a carnival theme into a reception by setting a framed picture of a Ferris wheel, merry-go-round or other carnival scene at the center of the food table. Other carnival related centerpiece ideas include ceramic or glass clown figure surrounded by tulle. Also consider a carousel music box as a centerpiece.
