How to Copy a Damaged DVD
- 1). Download the free IsoPuzzle damaged disk recovery software (see Resources).
- 2). Double-click the downloaded file to install it on your computer.
- 3). Insert the damaged DVD in your computer's DVD reader and run the IsoPuzzle program. It will retrieve as much information as possible from the DVD.
- 1). Wash the damaged DVD with water and dish soap.
- 2). Dry the DVD with a clean, dry lint-free cloth.
- 3). Insert the DVD in your computer's DVD reader and attempt to copy the information from it to your computer by left-clicking on each file and dragging it to your computer's desktop.
- 1). Take your damaged DVD to the local video store. Some camera shops might also be able to help you.
- 2). Pay the employees at the video store or camera shop to repair your DVD in their disk restoring machine.
- 3). Try to drag-and-drop files from the repaired DVD onto your computer's desktop.
