How to Remodel an Average Bathroom
- 1). Paint the walls in your bathroom with an interior paint, paintbrush, paint roller and paint tray. Select a paint color to complement your bathroom. If your bathroom has a shower curtain you like, select a paint color on the shower curtain.
- 2). Apply a fresh coat of ceiling paint to your bathrooms ceiling with your paint roller, paintbrush and paint. Often a ceiling becomes forgotten when remodeling a room and applying a fresh coat of paint to an average bathroom immediately makes the room look and feel newly remodeled.
- 3). Select a stencil design for your bathroom and stencil the walls. Purchase paint colors to complement your bathroom décor, and paint the inside of the cut-out stencil design on the bathroom walls.
- 4). Select and place new bathroom rugs in your average bathroom remodel--for example, rugs next to the bathtub, vanity and toilet.
- 5). Update the look to your bathroom faucets by purchasing new faucets and installing them according to the manufacturer's directions. Select a faucet for you bathroom sink and a faucet for your bathtub. Take into the account your bathroom décor colors when selecting your faucet. If your bathrooms colors are white you may wish to select a black-finish faucet or a stainless-steel faucet as they work well with these colors.
- 6). Replace your bathroom window treatments. An average bathroom does not require high-end window treatments. Hang curtains in your bathroom to complement the accent colors in your bathroom.
- 7). Replace your light fixture with a new one according to the manufacturer's directions. Replacing the light fixtures will highlight your freshly painted ceiling in your bathroom.
