Blinkybug Kit

• Blinkybug kits allow kids, and the young at heart, to make cute little bugs with blinking eyes while learning the basics of electronics. The kit includes four colors of LED lights, guitar strings, batteries, pipe cleaner and copper tubing. Easy-to-follow directions are included in the kit. The finished Blinkybug will be able to blink its eyes based on movement, winding and wind.
  
  

Mousebot Kit

• The Mousebot kit teaches users some basic robotics techniques. The kit builds Herbie the Mousebot, a robotic mouse that, when finished, scurries quickly around while avoiding obstacles thanks to whisker and tail sensors. The kit includes everything needed to build the robot except for a soldering iron and a nine-volt battery. The project is suitable for children over 10 years of age, with adult supervision.
  
  

Papertronics

• Papertronics Lunar Modules are paper nightlights that include a top module and a base. When set into the base facing forward, the module lights up. Turn the module around on the base and the light switches off. The Papertronics kit includes three paper toys: Alien Girl, Spaceboy and Tabula Rasa. Tabula Rasa is blank and ready to be decorated by the user. The kit also includes three LEDs, three coin batteries, three resistors and three pieces of metal tape. The project teaches the basics of using resistors in electronics projects.
  
  

SnapCircuits Jr. Kit

• Though the SnapCircuits Jr. kit is designed with children in mind, adults new to electronics who don't feel ready to use a soldering iron may also appreciate the kit. This electronics board features snap-together pieces for creating touch circuits, musical effects, alarms and basic games. The kit includes 30 pieces and detailed instructions that guide the user through 100 different projects.
