How to Watch BBC High Definition TV
- 1). Contract with a cable TV provider for HD service. If you do not have any cable TV service in your home, you will need to contract with a cable TV provider and have them install the service in your home. If you already have cable service but do not have any HD channels, contact the cable provider and inform them that you are considering and upgrade to high-definition service.
- 2). Inquire about BBC HD specifically. Unfortunately, cable providers do not typically offer the option of subscribing to one channel in particular, so you will most likely need to ask what group or "tier" of channels BBC HD belongs to and inquire about the price. Once you have determined if you can afford to add the group of channels of which BBC HD is a part, the only remaining step is to confirm the upgrade.
- 3). Have the BBC HD channel installed in your home. If you do not already use an HD-capable digital set-top box (STB), you will need to upgrade to one. If you do already use one, often the cable provider can add the channels without even having to send a technician to your home for the upgrade. Once the upgrade is completed, you should now be able to view BBC HD at your leisure.
