How to Replace a Header in WordPress

29
    • 1). Visit WordPress.com, and log in to your account. Click "My Blogs" in the top menu, and then select your blog to access its dashboard.

    • 2). Click "Header" under the "Appearance" tab in the dashboard menu. This option appears only if your theme's header includes an image. Upload an image from your hard drive to use as your header's background. If it's larger than the theme's header specifies, you can crop it on the next page. You can also select "Remove Header Image" or "Restore Original Header Image."

    • 3). Click "General" under the "Settings" tab. Enter text next to "Site Title" and "Tagline" to change the text that appears in your header. The site title appears, in most themes, in a larger font above your tagline. If you want your header to consist only of the image, keep both fields blank.
