A Weekend Break in Brighton

15
With England being home to so many major cities, it can be hard to decide which one to pick for a short weekend break.
Do you want to be in a coastal city, a city that is famous for its diverse nightlife or are you looking for a place with more unique shops and boutiques than your average high street? If you don't want to choose just one of these attractions, you don't have to.
Brighton is a cosmopolitan, energetic and lively city that can offer you all this and a whole lot more.
Whether it's the view of the sun setting behind the infamous Royal Pavilion or the thriving Gay and Lesbian scene that attracts you to the coastal city of Brighton, you and the other 8 million visitors this seaside city invites annually will have plenty to keep you busy.
Alongside the main shopping centre of Churchill Square lie the cobbled streets of The Lanes.
With an eclectic mix of shops and cafes, you are as likely to stumble upon a limited edition print in Artrepublic as you are as finding a tasty vegan snack in the ever so trendy restaurant Wai Kika Moo Kau.
A five minute stroll south brings you to the iconic Brighton Pier.
If its Candy floss and 2p machines you're after then the Palace of Fun is where you should head.
Make sure not to tire yourself out too much in the day as the night time is when Brighton comes alive.
Brighton's night life can be very roughly split into three parts.
The seafront - which boasts the majority of the cities larger clubs including The Funky Buddha Lounge and FatBoy Slim's favourite hangout The HoneyClub.
The Lanes - which is best for a more chilled out vibe.
Find yourselves sipping on the finest cocktails in Bar 14 or laughing the night away in Brighton's number one comedy venue, The Komedia.
If neither of these are what you're pining for, then head towards Kemptown (also known as Camptown).
A vibrant area between The Pier and The Brighton Marina that offers a great selection of Gay and Lesbian hotspots.
