Gifts for a US Air Force Colonel
- You may wish to purchase a gift specifically themed for the Air Force. You can find a variety of paraphernalia emblazoned with the colonel rank insignia of the American eagle or the emblem for the U.S. Air Force. Anything from beer can coolers, key rings, glasses, paperweights and cuff links makes a good gift.
- You may wish to pay tribute to the colonel's service to his country and its people by purchasing a gift that commemorates his achievements. Ideas along this line are items such as a medal display case or a plaque engraved with his name, rank of colonel, years of service and relevant achievements. This is a gift that says "Thank you for your service" without the words.
- For those times when the colonel is away, you may wish to give a gift that reminds him of home -- perhaps a framed photo of his loved ones, a T-shirt with a picture of his wife or a DVD recording of his children sending their love. Alternatively, you can make your gifts more practical. For example, you can give the colonel a care pack of his favorite items -- music, warm clothing, blankets, snacks or treats or a pillowcase with a squirt of his partner's perfume on it.
- If the colonel you are purchasing the gift for is one of those people who seem to have everything, or none of the previous options appeal to you, perhaps an avenue to investigate may be a monetary donation to The Air Force Aid Society. This is the official charity of the U.S. Air Force which aids U.S. Airmen and their families. Such a gift is sure to appeal to most, if not all, servicemen and women of the U.S. Air Force.
