Necksercises For Everyone
As we age the neck is the first to go down the tubes. It gains and looses weight faster than any other part of our body, and with that constant flocculation, loose skin is a potential reality. Loose skin and neck wrinkles are commonly referred to as turkey neck or turkey chin, and looks as so. Sometimes the skin can become so loose that a physician may recommend surgery which is costly, dangerous, and time consuming. It's in those extreme cases of turkey neck, that I would ever even consider advocating cosmetic surgery. Deformities and life or death situations are the only times I believe any one should go under the knife. Luckily, for those who are starting to notice neck wrinkles or for those wishing to prevent turkey neck all together, there are all natural ways to tighten your neck. After all, your neck supports your head; you should keep it nice and strong.
There are a series of neck and face exercises that all help to reduce loose skin and neck wrinkles. When doing any exercise it's good to know your limitations as to not hurt yourself. The neck is especially important to be careful with as it is a delicate formation of bones and nerve endings that are easily damaged if worked too hard.
The first exercise you do should be done in the morning should do is not only good for the neck but is good for the whole body. Start by standing straight up, put your chin to your chest as best you can and slowly rotate your head clock wise ten to twenty times and without stopping, switch to counter clock wise for another ten or twenty. This exercise works out all the knots and kinks in the neck from sleeping while strengthening the core muscles in the neck, promoting naturally tighter skin.
Another good exercise to do is to raise your lower lip up and down to stretch and contract the muscles. Do this as many times as you can before it becomes too uncomfortable. You can do this every day, pretty much anywhere.
The last neck exercise you can do involves sitting or standing comfortably, tilt your head as far back as you can, put your tongue on the roof of your mouth and over your jaw as far up as you can. Hold this position for about five to ten seconds at a time about ten times. You'll feel the neck muscles are much tighter after doing that a bunch of times.
These exercises are good ways to prevent a future problem and a good alternative to surgery. It may take upwards of three weeks to see any substantial results, mainly because loose skin is very hard to treat. Remember not to overdo it; your neck is sensitive and fragile. Whenever you have some down time do these simple exercises so to not be the butt of the joke this thanksgiving.
